Only thing I'm worried about is the HC bill, if there's a clause in the bill where states can opt out, we're ****ed. Only thing I really am worried about with this, with the trend the past 30 years and finances, Deeds was definitely the underdog..still didn't want to have to worry about getting something that important to this state. As long as the Senate seats stay the same, which I don't think there's any danger in that, we'll be all right
Deeds is from Bath County. That's past Covington (as in north of). I personally wouldn't call that around here or SWVA.

You know who has to be the most happy? The person who films the meetings. If she got a pulpit without a time limit, they would still be having their meetings the next morning
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

Bath County isn't necessarily SWVA, it's more rural than Alexandria where McDonnell comes from...who was born in Philly I think. Deeds would be better for this area IMO that McDonnell being as far away in the state as possible pretty much.

You're living in a fantasy world, I don't see a Republican being elected anytime soon, and there's no way in hell they do come 2012. I'll bet my account on it.

It goes in cycles both sides suck and folks want to stick it to the party in power if things are not great even if said party has nothing to do with it.

IF the economy is doing better in 9 to 10 months the Ds will be fine if not the Rs will win back big.....2 years after that it will be the same if things are good there will be VERY little change if not look for big changes

at least me and bob agree on the most primary of things, nobody wanted Bush to win.

why all the Kaine hate? i didnt think he did a bad job, the state actually improved under him.

what aggravated me the most was it was damn near impossible to find out what the Gov. candidates really stood for. their campaigns were both full of muckraking and taking shots at each other.
neither one took a stand and said 'this is what i will do, and this is what i can do to make this state better'

im so sick of dirty politics.

if me and pvfan run for governor and lieutenant governor, will you guys vote for us?

someone NEEDS to help our area, and for that to happen we will need a local in Richmond.

Kaine was great on just about everything, except one issue that is pretty important to me, he blocked Fed. funding for Stem Cell Research for VA...big catholic.

Depends on what your platform is.

But I do agree that it was hard to tell what either one stood for, other than wanting us not to vote for the other guy. It would be refreshing to see a candidate who concentrated on telling us what he wanted to do for us instead of how bad the other candidate would be.
Winners never quit, and quitters never win.
